Becky G Gets Real in a New Intimate Documentary

From topping the charts with hits like “Shower” and “MAMIII” with Karol G to starring on-screen and launching beauty brands, Becky G has made her mark as a multifaceted force in entertainment. Known for her bold fashion, bilingual artistry, and commitment to her roots, she’s earned Latin AMA wins, Billboard nominations, and a loyal global fanbase.

Now, her story takes center stage in a new documentary that follows her from childhood to her first headlining tour. This week, we’re sharing an exclusive interview with Jennifer Tiexiera and Gabriela Cavanagh, co-directors of Rebecca.

The documentary, which premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, follows Becky G’s journey from her childhood roots to her first headlining tour. It's an intimate portrait of a rising star grounded in family, identity, and legacy.

WHY THIS INTERVIEW MATTERS
Stories that reflect Latinx identity, mental health, and family resilience aren’t just powerful, they’re necessary. Jennifer and Gabriela approached this project with care and honesty, creating space for Becky G to share her story in a real, vulnerable way. It’s the kind of filmmaking that reminds us why representation matters and how personal stories can ripple out far beyond the screen.
