Fourteen-year-old, Marsai Martin is making history by becoming the youngest executive producer ever with her new movie Little, which hit theaters this month. Martin conceived of the film as a quasi-remake of the beloved Tom Hanks classic, Big. Little reverses Big’s premise, featuring a strung-out but successful woman who wakes up to find herself in the body of her younger self. Read more here.

The NYT recently published a much-needed piece explaining what a grip does and from the perspective of women in the industry. The article features the depressing, but frankly unsurprising statistic, that women made up about .01% of key grips in the top 1,200 movies from the past 12
