HELLO TLL Community!We are thrilled to invite you to our upcoming event, "Creating Your Spotlight: A Panel on Building a Creative Career"!If you're a passionate self-starter looking to break into creative roles but are confused about where to start, we've got you covered.Join us THIS Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 7 PM in Glendale, CA for a high-energy evening with guest panelists from across the arts, including film, television, photography, and more. These creatives will be sharing their experiences, advice, and tips on creating their own career paths in the arts. This is an opportunity for attendees to ask questions, mingle with others and get inspired! Don't forget to get your ticket!

We're excited to introduce you to:

  • So Yun Um, a Korean American Director and Producer based in Los Angeles. Her work focuses on telling intimate and challenging stories of marginalized people with piercing humanity and poignant editing style. Her accomplishments span from her directorial debut documentary feature film premiering in the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival to being a 2022-2023 BAFTA Breakthrough USA participant to receiving numerous fellowships and grants for her work.

  • Savana Ogburn, a multidisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles, California. Her work spans photography, collage, animation, and set design and often explores humor, queerness, and pop culture through a theatrical and textural lens. Her work centers around creating colorful worlds filled with eccentric characters and hopes to create her surreal worlds in every medium possible for clients.  She has worked with notable clients such as Time Magazine, Capitol Records, and Gucci Beauty.

  • Annie Nishida, a writer and illustrator from the San Gabriel Valley, CA. Her projects explore the Asian American experience, focusing on the hilarity and awkwardness of growing up. She has written for various television shows, including Disney Channel’s Gabby Duran & The Unsittables and Disney Jr.’s upcoming series RoboGobo, and has also illustrated comics that exhibit at independent publishing events across California.

  • Dahlia Lagos, a bilingual singer, songwriter, and producer of Colombian American descent. She has written and produced music for various television shows such as Starz's "Vida," Hbo's "We're Here” and has also worked on campaigns for companies such as Vice, Mean Machine, BigNoise, and Elias/Universal. She has several tracks on hold with multi-platinum artists and is currently working on her solo project as an artist.

This event isn't just about hearing from our fantastic panelists.We're excited to have the support of our partners and sponsors, including Envato, Skillshare, Embrace Change NYC, Bombilla, and Tubeez. All attendees will receive one month off of Skillshare, and we'll have two live giveaway baskets to raffle off night of!
